Nike wasted no time in responding to the ‘Game Data‘ adidas pack, dropping its ‘Lucent’ boot collection that reflects energy and radiance amidst the sizzling heat of summer. The Nike Lucent Pack is the official new season boots and will be worn by the likes of CR7, Harry Kane, and Virgil Van Dijk as early as the opening matches of 2022/23.
Yellow Strike & Sunset Glow Lucent Mercurial Superfly
Officially called Yellow Strike, a delightful bright aureolin shade takes over the Vaporposite+ and Flyknit of the Mercurials. Working in harmony with the base colour are the AIR branding and the Swoosh, comprised of a black border, coconut white solid fill, and mini-Mercurial pattern in pastel orange, each on either side of the boot.
Yellow Vapor 15
The Swoosh, in particular, has its outline in a 3D structure to add some stylish elements to the upper. The same white and orange tones inform the gradient on the translucent Zoom Air outsole.
Pink Tiempo Legend Elite
The Guava Ice & Yellow Strike with Sunset Glow Tiempo glows with an off-cream base offering a hint of a pinkish aura and a tinge of beige. This time, the black Swoosh outline has the same Yellow Strike tone seen on the Mercs. The stud stips in that melon-like orange fill in the off-white Hyperstability soleplate.
Phantom GT Lucent
Lastly, despite the new-gen Mercs grabbing the attention, the Phantom GT Lucent arguably has the most striking introduction to the new season. An icy hue of aqua radiates from the top of the Flyknit upper, with the unique GT webbing graphic formed through the abstract shard-like design in black.
As the GT-specific visual flows and divides the underfoot, yellow strike and black occupy the front and back sections, respectively. The whole of the Hyperquick tooling is covered with the Coconut white accent.
