Nike Mercurial Fast By Nature

Blake Grice

2018 was always going to be a significant year for Nike, celebrating 20 years of the Mercurial brand, so it came as no surprise just how much emphasis they put on their upgraded Mercurial Superfly VI.

Released in early February, the Superfly VI flaunts the most radical evolution it has ever undergone. For the first time ever, on any football boot from any brand, the Mercurial Superfly VI features a 360 Flyknit upper due to the separated Anatomical Speed System sole plate.

Headline visual differences can be seen at the Dynamic Fit Collar which has now become shorter in height to mimic Cristiano Ronaldo’s iconic version, whilst Nike have added newly styled branding for their Swooshes and Mercurial logo across the heel.

The sixth generation of Mercurial Superfly displays a Total Orange/Black colour-way which acts as the final silo to complete Nike’s FAST AF Pack. Alongside the Mercurial Superfly VI, Nike also launched their latest helping of Vapor XII and complimenting Proximo & Finale shoes for small-sided versions of football.
