Nike Spectrum Pack

Ian Ebbs

Nike approaches spring in football by releasing the Spectrum pack featuring the Mercurials, GTs, and Tiempo in their respective bright colourways. Gear Up is the brand’s first full collection in 2021 and is the first pack worn by all Nike contracted players upon release since the Daybreak boots.

The Mercurials have a crimson shade on its engineered mesh overlay while the Titan synthetic is light grey with a blue speed band. The Swoosh outlines are volt green like the toe cap. The outsole continues the colour combination as the soleplate itself is light grey while the Aerotrak spine is light green. The stud tips are pink and translucent, with the Aerotrak support studs going blue. The collar of the Superfly goes crimson. The Vapor, on the other hand, has a blue heel tab. The speed wings on the rear are grey, albeit with a darker shade.

The Phantom GTs are blue all over its Flyknit upper and its Generative Texture elements, with the metallic silver being its main colour accent seen in the textured Swooshes on the toe box and ankle as well as the GT strip on the front. Black colours the Phantom GT branding, the outlines of the Swooshes, and the Hyperquick soleplate. Green studs complete the look of the Gear Up Phantom GTs.

Lastly, the Tiempo Legend VIII has a predominantly white upper filled with light green details for the textured lateral Swoosh and the stud tips. The colour combination is a brighter version of the Wolf Grey/Green Strike Tiempo Legend V that debuted in the 2015 Champions League Finals.
