As the pitch starts to brighten up this spring, Nike brings up a football boot collection to reflect the season of the vernal equinox. Now that the boots don’t have any ice or snow to contend with during matches, the White Pack dials down on the colours for the Mercs, GTs, and Tiempo and dresses the silos primarily with a canvass-like look filled with minimal accents and details.
The result is a collection of Nike boots that shine through the green shade of grass. The Vaporposite of the Mercurial looks solid in white together with the Aerotrak soleplate. The blueprint-like graphics, introduced early this year, now have a visible shade of blue, even more so considering the base colour.
Also in this vibrant royal blue shade is the outsole’s central spine and structure that houses volt stud tips. A darkened, almost blacked out, blue colour the Swoosh on both lateral and medial sides, accompanied by overlapping Nike logo outlines in blue, red, and yellow. The circular Nike and Mercurial logos on the heel are mostly grey and violet.
Nike drop the pack with just the Mercurial, but as with the Blueprint pack released earlier in the year, the Progress pack will have the Phantom GT and Tiempo follow when they’re ready, expect to see them on pitch before they hit retail.
