Nike Nightfall Pack

Blake Grice

As implied by the name of the pack itself, the boots in this collection display a slick combination of black and orange colourway. The boots retain their existing technologies for a fantastic indoor game experience. The Swoosh logos flanking the Premier Sala II is now white while the black upper still has the suede vamp for the touch and mesh quarter for breath-ability. The non-marking rubber for excellent floor grip is brown while the midsole Lunarlon foam technology for shock absorption has a light salmon-orange glow. The outsole has a genes-like pattern and has a black Nike symbol in the heel. The boots have central lacing and the entire tongue and insole are of the same hue as the Lunarlon.

Just like the Premier Sala II, the Lunar Gato II also incorporates the Lunarlon foam cushioning and is a bit gold-orange coloured. The black upper consists of the Nike Grind material on the forefoot, a soft goat leather vamp and the Hyperfuse quarter. The stripes on the Hyperfuse are still pretty much recognisable due to a darker shade of black and also has a white Swoosh. The Lunar Gato II is still centrally laced. Going to the outsole, it still has the three parts: the black tread patterned on the heel, the smudgy camouflaged tread on the left and the dotted golden orange on the right on the upper half.

The synthetic leather with a scaly diamond cut 3D upper covering the toe box and the vamp is still prominent in the Nightfall Tiempo Legend 8 and makes the boot excel in ball handling. The upper then transitions to a golden orange Quadfit mesh for a seamless wrap around the foot. The Swoosh is black with an orange outline. And as for the outsole, it still has the zigzag warped rough pattered texture and is dark black on the upper half and dark orange in the lower half. Striking the outsole in the middle is a yellow-orange Nike Logo.

Rounding up this pack is the React Gato which is known for Nike Touch360, Nike Flyknit, and the Nike React features. The Touch360 is composed of touch pods that functions like pistons upon ball contact to inform the wearer of the ball’s location relative to the underfoot, reducing the need to keep on looking down for the ball. The Flyknit upper, which moves and stretches around the foot enabling explosive movement, is constructed with a raised pattern texture on the front and an orange material with curve indents on the other half. The outsole contains the Nike React Foam that allows the wearer to have comfort on all surfaces. The design on the lower half of the outsole is similar to that of the Tiempo Legend 8 and the smudgy camouflage colour looks inspired with the one seen in the Lunar Gato II Nightfall. The top half features orange molecule-like design Touch 360 touch pods surrounded by a treaded black. A white Swoosh can be seen in the middle of the outsole.
