Nike Gives the Tiempo Legend 10 the ‘Touch of Class’

With the its 2023/24 season starter and black alternative packs out of the way, Nike gives the Tiempo Legend 10 an extra release and gives it the ‘Touch of Class.’ What we mean is that the synthetic leather boot is given a golden treatment for its first-ever special release edition. Now we know ‘gold’ and ‘class’ have been used a lot of times already for football boots, yet you couldn’t really go wrong with opting for that colour that represents the highest of honours in any given field…

The gold application on the Tiempo 10 sees the Flytouch Plus upper display a matte finish, just perfect for a material that still wants to exhibit that leather grain at least on the surface. At least on the remaining part exposed and not covered by the white panel on the heel and quarter, the thematic colour changes into a transition that make it connect to the black Flyknit tongue and low-cut collar. That white trim, however, carries the glossiest part of the show and that is the glistening gold Swooshes with a solid, 3D black outline. A besoke numeral X signs off at the back right at the centre of the heel.

The forefoot up until the midfoot of the Hyperstability plate has that golden wearable finish. And like on the upper, the colour changes to black towards the rear, though arguably the bluish iridescence buzz underneath seems to get more of the attention than the base colour of that part of the soleplate.

Another item to cop for collectors of gold football boots!
