Future Lab Pack

Dean Ariola

Nike‘s Future Lab Park was one of their first releases of 2020, released at a similar time to the Kinetic all black, blackout pack of boots. The first boots that we saw were the Tiempo 8, which were launched ahead of the other boots in some geos. The Future Lab Tiempo uses a split design, combining red and white halves with a black Nike swoosh outlined in red. Other boots in the pack include the Phantom venom and mercurial lines as well as a brand new Phantom Vision 2 release.

Each boot in the park uses different combinations of red, white and black along with silver applications. The swoosh on the Phantom VNM stands out with a chrome effect in silver. These Venoms do reminds us of the Game Over pack boots that we saw this time last year from Nike and what was the launch colorway of the Phantom Venom boot.

There are definite vibes of the CTR360 Maestri in some of these boots, especially the Phantoms with that split colour red, black that we’ve seen on the iconic boots of the past.

The Mercurial Vapor and Superfly use another unique design brought to the Mercurial line these are almost completely red but with with a monochrome swoosh outlined in black and black detailing towards the heel of the boots. Another feature is a silver stamp which shows the coordinates of the Cristiano Ronaldo pitch at the Nike headquarters in Beaverton, Oregon.
