Nike Launch Electric Pack

Ian Ebbs

The Swoosh launch the Nike Electric Pack ahead of the 2024 Paris Olympics, so all of their international football stars will be quickly identified once the tournament commences. It’s a good unifying front to associate Nike with victory regardless of who wins the competition across football & all the other sports.

2024 Safari Print Boots

Whether you go for speed, control or touch for the Electric Pack, you’ll have more or less the same visuals with a grey base paired with a wild black & orange Safari print on each boot, each with dazzling soleplates in chrome.

This Safari pack comes after the pink boots worn during the Euro and Copa America 2024, like that Mad Brilliance pack, the Electric Pack runs a common theme for the Mercurials, Phantoms and the Tiempo.

What better way to promote the Electric Pack than dressing the boots with a iconic design that has already captured the interest of boot enthusiasts in the past. I am referring to the Safari print on the quarter and on the outsole of the boots. As we all know, the animal skin design is associated with the Mercurials worn by CR7. Those iterations were usually black spots on a white/clear background. I would say the application now of the Safari on the Electric Pack is bolder because of the black-on-orange colour choice.

The Safari is made more prominent as Nike partners the design with a light grey, almost white upper. Electric of course still want to make sure that the brand is well-advertised, and that’s where the black Swooshes come into play. It’s also worth noting though that the Swooshes themselves subtly carry out the Safari print too. Those on the Mercurials do so with a bluish application. On the other hand, the Phantoms and the Tiempo carry it out via a textured finish on their Swooshes.

One final accent to join the Electric Pack is the volt green detailing. Such is present on the Zoom Air window of the Mercs tooling, as well as on the Cyclone360 portion of the Phantoms’ outsole. It’s only the Tiempo that does not have a clear volt green application. All of the soleplates however do have a hint of iridescence to them. What starts off as a plain look ends up being visually active when you look at the transition of the designs from upper to sole.
