Nike drops the ‘Bonded’ pack ahead of the Women’s Euro 2022 tournament. With the release of the collection at a prestigious football event comes the launch of the new-gen Mercurials, the Superfly 9 and Vapor 15.
Expectations are high for the continuing evolution of the iconic Nike line and finally giving the patented Air Zoom technology a breakthrough moment in football. Besides the Mercs, the pack also includes the Phantom GT and Tiempo dressed up with the same colourway as the speed boots.
Green Mercurials
The logos and brandings offer a dark contrast with their blackened blue colour. If the ‘Barely Green’ colourway looks familiar, it is because of the Mercurial Dream Speed 005.
That particular MDS series in the Superfly 8 and Vapor 14 incorporated a base colour of the same shade. It is now applied to the Superfly 9 and Vapor 15 in the pack, though arguably more accents appear on the new boots due to the coverage of the multicolour (mainly orange and yellow) abstract graphic on the upper.
As expected, a Zoom airbag at three-quarters length sits atop the cavity of the soleplate, with a re-engineered Vaporposite+ comprising the upper. The cushioning technology certainly contributed a unique boot experience to the Mercs, and it’s something you should not miss out.
Bonded Phantom GT Barely Green
The Phantom GT 2, in its high and low-cut versions, include itself in the ‘Bonded’ pack. The irregular GT block outlines come in yellow, separating the clean upper side of the boot from the orange graphic-laden lower edge side. The almost-black shade of blue also colours the brandings and logos, as well as the GT trim visuals.
Green Tiempo Bonded Pack
The Tiempo Legend 9, on the other hand, concentrates the graphics and its colours on the heel, leaving the K-leather part free of any design outputs. The prominent Swoosh has a solid fill of the darkened blue, housing an outline and a Tiempo logo in volt yellow and Tiempo branding in orange.
