Last year it was Alexia Putellas. This year it’s Aitana Bonmati who wins the Ballon d’Or award. And like the last time around, Nike celebrates having a Swoosh player win the prestigious title by gifting their star a custom pair of their favourite Nike silo. From Alexia Putellas Phantom GT, we now move to Aitana Bonmati’s Superfly 9 as the latest Nike women’s Ballon d’Or football boot.
Nike keeps it plain and simple for Bonmati’s custom pair. It is predominantly golden yellow with black accents coming from the Flyknit tongue and collar, forefoot Swoosh and the cutout AIR branding on the quarter. The stud tips are also black, and they protrude out of a wearable soleplate patterned after the main colour theme. With the interplay of yellow and black, we feel like the boot has some Lock In Let Loose Pack vibe to it…
