New Balance Drop Blue Furon and Tekela to Start 2024

Dean Ariola

New Year. New Boots. New Balance. The likes of Bukayo Saka and Harvey Elliott begins the year wearing their respective NB silos in different shades of blue to start the second half of the season. None of the players are going blue, however, as both of their teams are in contention to win this season’s Premier League, and we’re pretty sure both will maximise their latest New Balance boots to the fullest to propel their red home kit to the top! Besides the new colourway, there are also some minor tweakings to the upper of both boots, hence the names V7+ and V4+ for the Furon and Tekela, respectively.

So first things first, the Furon in this collection dresses up with predominantly Sky Blue paintjob. With its lighter shade, that Sky Blue base is able to brightly contrast with the navy N lettermark and the outsole, whose chrome finish sparkles the soleplate with some greenish hues depending on the lighting conditions. New Balance then sprinkles that ‘Hot Mango’ orange accents throughout the bits on the upper as well as on the chevron studs.

The Tekela here is like the mirror image of the Furon, reversing the colour dynamic towards being mostly navy and colouring the N logo in Sky Blue. And with the Tekela now available in a low-cut, laced version, you will be forgiven to confuse which is which side-by-side the laced Furon. Unlike the speed boot, the Tekela confines the Hot Mango accents on the conicals.
