With the injured Sadio Mane not able to participate for Senegal, it is left to Raheem Sterling to lead the representation of New Balance in the 2022 Fifa World Cup. With Bukayo Saka and Tim Weah already flashing their respective bright blue Furon and shiny silver Tekela from the Headline Taker Pack (even scoring goals with them), the lead NB star had the privilege of wearing a Special Edition-type of the New Balance speed boots: the ‘Stone Island’ Furon v7…
Raheem Sterling’s 2022 World Cup boot is the first-ever collab boot between New Balance and the luxury brand. With the base toggling between brown and green, and further designed with abstract dark marks, the Stone Island Furon exhibits a camouflage look that spills over to the nylon outsole. The famous ‘Compass’ logo sits at the back of the heel, and together with the right boot’s blackened ‘Stone Island’ wordmark pushed towards further back the lateral side, adds a fashionable air to the otherwise performance-focused footwear.
This is perfect for the soldiers of the game, who are well-drilled, follow instructions to a T, and, most importantly, stand up for their teammates. Wearing a pair of these in your games should be backed with a decent amount of work rate and cohesiveness to team play.
