New Balance Ready to Take on the World Cup with the Headline Taker Pack!

Dean Ariola

Sure, Nike, adidas and Puma would always dominate the news this coming World Cup. But if you’re into underrated brands in the upcoming tournament that nonetheless produce some of the finest boots in the market, look no further than New Balance and its Furon v7 and Tekela v4 football boots! Confident of the quality of their silos, New Balance is going out there in the grandest stage of international football to introduce the Furon and Tekela under the ‘Headline Taker’ Pack. Senegal’s Sadio Mane, together with England’s Raheem Sterling and Bukayo Saka, will be the world-class ambassadors of the Furon, while USMNT’s Timothy Weah grants the Tekela, a viable alternative to the adidas laceless boots, a much needed avenue to broaden its appeal…

Despite the off-centred laces of the Furon and the laceless construction of the Tekela, New Balance got the shape of the boots almost perfectly that the lacing setup doesn’t really matter in terms of fit and lockdown. It’s that distraction-less pair of football boots that is certain to make one, if not all of NB’s stars to be the ‘Headline Taker’ for their respective nations this coming winter.

Headline Taker Furon takes on the clear and intense colour of lapis lazuli to capture the beautiful chaos that erupts after the ball hits the back of the net. We reckon this could form a complementary shade to other blue kits like Brazil’s ‘Ginga or Croatia’s ‘Shoulder-Checkered’ away kits. Pastel volt ‘Hi Lite’ accents ensure you know who to go to if you like a pair of this speed boot.

Usually playing a support role to the Furon, the Tekela is poised for a possible breakout in growth now that it is going to have the attention of the football community of the entire world whenever Tim Weah is on the field. The Hi Lite accents are still there for the brandings and logos, but metallic silver drives the main colourway of the Tekela in this pack.
