Just what do the best goalkeepers in the world wear?

IFFHS are a group of editorial staff and experts from 70 countries around the globe and they elected and chose the World’s Best Goalkeeper with Germany and Bayern Munich’s Manuel Neuer winning the award. After the reign of Iker Casillas since 2008 winning five titles in a row, it is not a surprise to see the domination for 2013 from Manuel Neuer who won the Champions League, Bundesliga, DFB-Pokal, FIFA Club World Cup and UEFA Super Cup with Bayern Munich in 2013.

The best seven goalkeepers of 2013 as voted for by the IFHHS were as follows: Manuel Neuer, Gianluigi Buffon, Petr Cech, Thibaut Courtois, Victor Valdes, Iker Casillas and Salvatore Sirigu.

The winner of the day is the Predator LZ II silo worn by Casillas, Cech, Sirigu and Valdes. Puma’s brand new evoPOWER is headlined by Buffon, while IFFHS 2013 Best Goalkeeper Neuer wears the nitrocharge by adidas. Courtois wears Nike’s boots control the CTR360 silo.

Goalkeeping boots are designed to offer increased kicking power, to be comfortable and lightweight. In terms of kicking power and accuracy the Predator LZ II features several Lethal Zones, the evoPOWER features AccuFoam and the nitrocharge has the ENERGYSLING. In terms of comfort the Tiempo, CTR360 and Predator all feature flexible and soft uppers.

*Note that Victor Valdes wears the Predator LZ and not the Tiempo Legend, thanks to all that corrected us!
