Puma Reveals the King Platinum Rudagon Boots

As part of its diamond anniversary celebration, Puma taps its longest serving silo and delivers it with a limited edition release. Called the ‘Rudagon’, named after founder RUdolf DAssler and the Greek word for angle ‘GON,’ the release intends to commemorate the person who started it all with a luxurious, premium-looking colourway on a football boot that has so much historical value and modern transformation.

Colourway-wise, the Rudagon is predominantly black with rose gold accents coming from the logos, Formstrip detailings and the outsole. But what makes the release special is the tonal Lazertouch imprint on the upper that results in a repeating polygonal pattern made visible by its tonal shade. The said all-over print pays tribute to the triangular crest that housed the Puma logo during the 1950s.

Capping off the Rudagon look is the black trim panel latched on to the medial side of the quarter. Glossing on it is the King’s ‘1968’ foundational year.
