Antony is one of the main guys to market and play with the Puma Ultra, and so most Antony boots are related to the speed silo. The boot is known for its lightweight and sharp ball touch, making it perfect for wingers like him to run down the ball and drill it hard towards the back of the net. He joins the likes of Raphael Varane, Christian Pulisic and Kingsley Coman in wearing the Puma Ultra.

Ultra 5 Formula
By the start of 2024/25, Antony had somewhat fallen down the pecking order of wingers for Manchester United. And so with a revamped Puma speed boot in the form of the Ultra 5, the hope was that the improvements made on the silo would translate into better performance. He opened his account of the Ultra 5 with the purple one from the Formula Pack.
Ultra Forever Faster 2024
Antony missed the Copa America 2024, but at least he got to still wear the 2024 Forever Faster colourway of his favoured Ultra. This boot was mostly defined by its mellow orange colourway, adorned with a faded black Formstrip and some touches pink touches on the sides and on the heel of the outsole.
Ultra Phenomenal
The winger was quick to change boots to the pink Ultras when Puma dropped the Phenomenal Pack in January 2024. It essentially reversed the colour of the Future 7 on the same pack, choosing pink as the dominant colour and white as the minor colour detail.
Ultra Voltage
Antony joined the chorus of Puma Ultra players in ending 2023 with the Ultra Ultimate from the Volate Pack. It was yellow from front to rear, top to bottom, and only the black-outlined white Formstrip and the black stud tips that gave the Ultra Voltage a secondary colour item.
Ultra Gear Up Pack
It was unfortunate that Antony was held back by personal issues at the beginning of the 2023/24 season, forcing him to miss a number of games. But he was able to join back the club and immediately suited up with the Puma Gear Up Ultra Ultimate. Ultra Gear Up was unmistakeably blue, a two-tone application that had the upper in a darker shade relative to the tongue and the space housed within the white Formstrip outline.
Ultra Breakthrough Pack
Antony participated in the 2023 Manchester United Pre-season tour wearing the Breakthrough Ultra Ultimate. It was actually the debut of the revamped Ultra Ultimate that still had the Ultraweave upper but had the PWRTAPE repositioned along the top of the foot for better structure. Breakthrough Ultra was predominantly white and had a reddish pink highlight thanks to the Formstrip and the inner PWRTAPE support.
Ultra Pursuit Pack
Released for all Puma Ultra players for the end part of the 2022/23 season, this minty version of the Puma speed boot was worn by Antony together with fellow Manchester United player Raphael Varane. It’s like the deeper, fuller version of the Nike Mercurial from the Impulse pack.
Ultra Ultimate Supercharge
Right after its release on January 2023, the orange Ultra with a boldy-outlined white Formstrip became a regular on Antony’s feet. The said Puma logo further housed a secondary Formstrip in purplish blue right below its apex, with the background streaking lines joining the outlines in sourcing out black details for the boot.
Ultra SL BMW
Instead of the SL-regular Antoine Griezmann, it was Antony who marketed and debuted the BMW MMS edition of the Ultra SL when it was released on December 2022. He wore it in just one match, then moved on to the 2023 regular pack release for the Ultra Ultimate the following month.
What was Antony’s previous boots?
Ever since he started putting the football world to notice with his stint with Sao Paolo, Antony had been associated with Puma football boots. During the early part of his career with the Brazilian side, the winger was wearing various generations of the Future with the customisable Netfit lacing system. It was only during his transfer to Ajax that he switched to the Ultra, meaning that he was able to wear the earlier ones that had the knitted MATRYXEVO upper and the subsequent synthetic iterations prior to the ULTRAWEAVE model.
Prior to his move to Manchester United in 2022, Antony is already a proven champion as he helped Ajax secure back-to-back Eredivisie titles. He has a knack for the typical Brazilian flair, with his signature dribble move being ‘the spin.‘
