There was a lot of visual activity on this boot- the red gradient on the upper and seams, the dissolving graphic and new Haaland logo on the quarter, and the dark navy heel, collar and tongue. But the front act was the amber Gripknit, which comprised majority of the upper and, frankly, where the Phantom 6 essence was centred on in the first place.
Scary Good Phantoms
For the start of the 2025/26 season, the Nike Phantom 6s fronted a crimson orange paintjob on its Gripknit upper, with ruby red providing the detailing around the seams and on the strategic texturing on the medial side. The boots then backed the orange Gripknit with a lavander-based quarter.

Nike Hypervenom Phantom Bright Citrus
It took something massive to replace the established T90 Laser silo and it came in the form of the Nike Hypervenom launched in orange and black. Marketed as a boot for ‘a new breed of attackers,’ the Hypervenom was starred by Neymar and featured a newly developed soft and supple NikeSkin upper-a mesh-based material with a thin polyurethane film that produced a barefoot-like sensation with ball contact. Adidas F50 Adizero Messi Neon Orange
This exclusive Messi F50 Adizero launched ahead of the 2014-2015 season and the bright neon orange of the upper served as the backdrop for the abundant words that describe Lionel Messi. The boot had Messi’s iconic ‘M’ logo at the back of the heel to further signify its exclusiveness. The silo’s trademark technologies of thin Hybridtouch upper and lightweight Sprintframe outsole blended well with Messi’s nimbleness.

Nike Magista Obra Intense Heat
March had seen significant Nike releases and in 2015, a Total Orange Magista Obra was introduced. The Flyknit boot was immediately put into use by then Bayern Munich player Mario Gotze as its conical studs were perfect for an attacking playmaking midfielder. This boot was made special as it was a product of Nike’s collaboration with renowned fashion designer Virgil Abloh. The collaboration resulted in the Vapor 12 being dressed in bright orange with big playful white and blue dots as well as OFF WHITE’s industrial style labelling for ‘KNIT’ and ‘LOGO.’
Nike Mercurial Superfly 6 Kim Jones
This was another boot produced by Nike in collaboration with a famous fashion designer, this time being Kim Jones. The boot was sort of a recreation of CR7’s safari printed Mercurials with Kim Jone also being inspired by childhood in Africa. The boot was worn by Ronaldo in his March 2018 clash against PSG and propelled him to score a goal with his trademark hang time header.
Mizuno Morelia Neo 2 Orange Clownfish
