Celebrating the silver anniversary of their operation in football boot retail, Pro:Direct Soccer teases a series of exclusive football boots they have worked on in partnership with the leading brands. First to come up in this collection is the Puma Future Ultimate that remakes the colourway previously seen in the PowerCat silo. There exist some minor differences, but the overall look and core design identity is unmistakable from how it was presented more than a decade ago.

For this particular Pro:Direct Soccer collab boot, the 2011 Tokyo gets revived on the current Future Ultimate. So what you get is a white upper that brandishes a variety of Japanese wordings, both outline and solid-fill forms. In addition, paint-like spatter join in this multicolour fun, just like how the PWRTAPE and the laces do. All in all, the usual colours that stand out are volt yellow, pink, blue and redish pink. They perfectly represent the energetic vibe of Tokyo nights courtesy of those bright neon lights from shops and stands.
The slight deviation in the Tokyo Future is the increased presence of black on the heel and collar, with he same white to black colour balance appears on the Dynamic Motion System soleplate. Completing the design is the integration of the Pro:Direct logo on the back of the collar. It’s a subtle yet effective inclusion given that it’s in the original colours of the retailer’s corporate livery.
The Puma Future Tokyo is limited to 800 pairs worldwide. Visit Pro:Direct Soccer for more details on its availability.
