With Nike launching the ‘Ready’ pack, season 2023/24 is going to be dominated by white boots left and right! White with neon green accents? That’s adidas Crazyrush. White with pink accents? That’s Puma Breakthrough. White and crimson and black? Hello Nike Ready boots…
A pristine-looking Mercurial is waiting for you to raise the curtains up for this footballing year. It does so with a clear white base that is then decorated in the quarter with a red detailing and cutout that says ‘AIR.’ At least for the Nike speed boots, black is reserved for the Swooshes.
The GX disrupts the theme and chooses to have the crimson as the base for the Gripknit technology. It’s the heel part, the tongue and the cover are covered in black. Also in black is the primary Swoosh outline that further houses a smaller yet solid-filled white one.
Of course, Gripknit won’t be as such if it does not have the spiral-like formation of the feature technology. And the GX Ready makes sure it does show up by having the spiral tonally done and appear darker.
Ready GX does look like a bit of the World Cup-debuted Disruption colourway, only with the slight change of Gripknit colour.
Now the Phantom Luna joins the action and has its own colourway release in this pack. Like the GX, it is heavy in red but slightly lighter than the lead Phantom line. Luna Gear Up has that 3-dimensional repeating graphic in a dark tone. Upon closer look, the visuals do somehow represent a 3D ‘L.’ Black is limited as an outline to the white Swoosh.
Lastly, the Tiempo Legend 10 opens up the season by having a predominantly white colourway like the iconic Mercurials. All the brandings like the Swoosh outline and the tech wordings are black. There is still pops of red here, which mostly come from the tongue and the strip of small Tiempo branding confined to the ends of the Swoosh outline.
