What was a secret has finally been made official, as Brazilian left-back Marcelo seems to have been officially incorporated into the adidas team.
In fact, he has been shown as one of the new icons of the Three Stripes during a promotional event at the Bernabéu Store, where he also signed autographs for the fans.
The Real Madrid man posed with the new adidas F50 adiZero football boots, recently released in a Cool Blue colourway, to which he switched after rumours started to break out as from last September when he was deliberating leaving the Nike Vapor ‘speed’ silo.
The Whites’ defender joins a battery of teammates that also wear the same sports brand, involving a long list of stars like Casillas, Xabi Alonso, di María, Benzema and Kaká.
“Throughout my career, I have achieved some of my dreams, and this is one too. Being next to these stars (his adidas icon teammates) is fantastic. They have congratulated me, it is a great brand and I am happy”, said Marcelo, who was also pleased with his F50 adiZero boots: “I notice when I’m on the ball and I have to dribble past someone that they give me a lot of stability”.
