Two giants in their respective fields, one in football and one in fashion, unveil their first-ever collaboration boot pack. Prada and adidas launch the Predator Accuracy, Copa Pure and the upcoming X Crazyfast with their highlight football boot technologies merged with the luxurious materials and expert craftsmanship of the fashion brand’s Linea Rossa.
The two brands come together to create a set of products made for the best footballers in the world. More than ‘let’s fashionify Football and let it sit on a shelf’, the collaboration is a combination of fashion inspiration and high-performance standards.
The adidas x Prada collection takes on the laced .1 low and fits it with a premium, all-leather upper in black. Showing an understated colour combination, the High-Definition grip elements pop up in the adidas’ ‘solar red’ shade along with the emblematic Linea Rossa strip on the heel. Furthermore, the said rubber nodes are shaped into triangles to showcase the influence of the fashion brand. Prada recreates the strip on the knitted tongue and adds its branding on it.
Moving on to the Copa Pure, the boot has a metallic silver finish to its Fusionskin upper, which in turn is adorned with tonal grey adidas stripes. A leather tongue cover with a debossed Prada branding enhances the luxurious feel of this particular Copa release. The red linear Linea Rossa visual flows from the heel down to the rear of the outsole.
What might be the most interesting of the Prada pack is the X speed boot, with it giving us a glimpse of the upcoming Crazyfast generation instead of going for the current Speedportal. Clouded with a predominantly white colourway, the Prada X Crazyfast has visibly shown a Fusionskin-like leather with mesh upper. The liner on the quarter contains triangular cutouts, presumably a reference to the adidas’ collab party. Both the tongue and the heel show the Linea Rossa red strip.
