Blake Grice

adidas currently have three boot ranges the ‘control’ range Predator, the ‘speed’ range F50 adiZero and the ‘heritage’ range adiPure 11Pro and the new ‘power’ nitrocharge boot will make it the German brand’s fourth when it will be released in June this year. The nitrocharge boot features a new ENERGYPULSE which is a high elastic forefoot element offering premium energy output when shooting and the ENERGYSLING is an elastic rubber sling which offers superb stability and elasticity.

Nitrocharge 1.0

NC1

The nitrocharge 1.0 is the premium grade boot of the range which features new innovative technology which ‘nitrocharges’ your shot through the ‘ENERGYPULSE’ and ‘ENERGYSLING’. Located on the underfoot the ENERGYPULSE is essentially an upgrade to the ‘POWERPULSE’ seen on the 2004 Predator Pulse boot and it offers premium energy output through the high elastic forefoot element. The ENERGYSLING located on top of the upper wraps around your foot offering enhanced stability and elasticity. The newly developed super soft hybridtouch upper harnesses the benefits of leather and synthetic in one material, the TRAXION 2.0 stud configuration enhances acceleration and agility and the SPRINTFRAME seen on all other adidas boot ranges is installed into the nitrocharge 1.0.

Nitrocharge 2.0

NC2

The nitrocharge 2.0 is the down graded version of the 1.0 boot and is seen as a boot for the club or social level player. The unique ENERGYPULSE and hybridtouch technologies are absent in this boot but it does feature a TPU ENERGYSLING offering superb stability. The upper is an all-synthetic leather material featuring a super strong mesh layer concept in the rearfoot area providing great comfort and feel and it also has the TRAXION 2.0 stud configuration seen on all the nitrocharge ranges.

Nitrocharge 3.0

NC3

The nitrocharge 3.0 is the cost effective alternative boot to the 1.0 and 2.0 ranges seen as a boot for the entry level player. The ENERGYPULSE, ENERGYSLING, hybridtouch, SPRINTFRAME and micoach technologies are absent in this boot but it does feature an all synthetic leather upper for great comfort and perfect touch, a 3D print of ENERGYSLING design and a Die-cut EVA sockliner with a textile finish for highest comfort.

The original three colourways released will be officially named the Blue Beauty/Running White/Electricity (seen above), Black/Electricity/Running White and Vivid Red/Electricity/Running White and the boot has been seen tested by several high profile footballers including Steven Gerrard, Xabi Alonso, Bastian Schweinsteiger and Dani Alves.
