While superstars tend to have signature boots left and right, and move on from one colourway to another, Toni Kroos has remained faithful to one and only boot, even to this date. In fact, you can make the argument that the player has made it his de facto signature boot. Fast forward to 2023, adidas remake the iconic adiPure 11pro that has become synonymous with the German midfielder. Now is the time for Kroos fans and boot fanatics alike to grab a pair of the Madridista’s favourite silo.
With the remake, you’ll finally get a fine look of the sharp combination of white upper, black stripes and blue laces and heel at their pristine iteration. There’s also that bold 11pro heel branding that is slightly offset to the lateral side. As a tribute to Kroos, a small German flag sits around the heel tab and above the silo wording.
To be clear, it’s not that Toni Kroos has not totally changed his boots. What he’s wearing lately is already custom-made by adidas to fulfill the need of the player for the discontinued silo. This 2023 remake will give us the same custom soft Taurus leather boot made to the specification of the German maestro. The microfibre material that makes up the midfoot and heel is retained, but the outsole is actually the soleplate used by the 2009 adiPure.
But fret not! If you can’t make it to the ‘TK’ limited-edition, there’s an accompanying standard, retail-oriented remake release. This one uses instead the Torsionframe of the Nemeziz and the current Copa Pure. It does not have the German flag on the heel. But the important thing is people will still get to feel once again the plushness and the durability of the Taurus leather.
