We’ll see the story of Wakanda continue this November, and for that Marvel and adidas football partner up to give us a ‘Vibranium-suit’-inspired X Speedportals. Selecting the adidas speed boot for the special edition colourway seems to be the right choice, considering the pacey profile of Black Panther. You could probably even do a cosplay of the MCU hero in a casual game because the BP X Speedportals provide that matching black base with purple and gold hues. To top it off, the boots feature a subtle all-over graphic pattern derived from the ‘Wakanda Forever’ film. Shuri would definitely prefer these than the royal sandals!

The Black Panther X Speedportal follows the growing trend of superhero-themed football boots (usually as part of a movie’s promotion). We saw it first with the Spiderman Nemeziz in 2019 and the X-Men Predator Freak and X Ghosted in 2021. Even Puma joined the fray early this year with Neymar displaying the Future Z 1.3 ‘The Batman.’
