adidas X 99.1
The original F50 was dropped ahead of Euro 2004, 15 years ago, in 2015 and 2016, adidas wanted to push the boundaries of boot design and dropped the 99g boot, this unique boot, broke the 100g barrier, but only in UK size 8. This time around you can get these 99.1 boots in all sizes, they are inspired by the F50 and that weight dropping concept, but sit on the current X boot, with a heavier weight.
adidas Boots in x 99.1 Pack:
Coming in at around 187g, you can see the speed theme echoed by the big holes cut out of the upper around the toe box, and panels missing around the sides, the tongue is stripped down too, but these boots are still coated over the top, giving the impression of cutouts and shaving weight, but still being perfectly functional.
The F50 vibes sit well with the X19, the boot in it's current generation has really returned to it's roots and the X19.1 laced version in particular. The adidas logo is rotated on the tongue to be visible to the player in hot pink, the three stripes have a iridescent feel, that continues on to the soleplate.
x 99.1 Boots
The sole of X99.1 uses the 2019 X's Speedframe, with the drilliun holes to drop weight, the stud tips take a blue/aqua tinge, that mixes well with the white of the upper, for a clean, fresh drop.
