Darwin Nunez primarily wears Nike football boots. More often than not he would be seen wearing the Mercurial Superfly, and would try some special Nike boots every now and then. With his football stature now bigger than ever with his Liverpool signing in 2022, many fans will now be more on the lookout for whatever boots he brings on the pitch.
Rareboots4u Custom Blackout Superfly 9
From the looks of it, this blackout pair of Vapor 15s that Nunez received from Rareboots4u was the Mercurial Vapor from the Shadow Pack launched at the beginning of the 2022/23 season. That particular volt accents stemming from the internal heel liner and insole suggested so.
Custom Jordan Dawson Mercurial Superfly 9
Wearing a black edition is already interesting on itself, as not many stars do so. But Nunez adds more flavour to his Shadow Superfly 9 courtesy of the expert artwork from Jordan Dawson. The right boot’s medial side presented the Uruguayan flag (with a visual that made it seem like the upper’s surface had been ripped to reveal the flag), while the left boot through the same side carried the striker’s first name on a stylised font.
What Has Nunez Been Wearing On The Pitch?
At least for the 2022/23 season, Nunez has cycled through various Nike boots. Aside from the black Superfly that had been customised by Jordan Dawson, he also spent some time with the yellow ones from the season-opening Lucent pack. Latter releases for the said season like the World Cup Generation and second on-pitch Blast also made their way to become his matchday boots.
The striker has not been afraid to get back to previous Superfly generation, as shown by him wearing the Superfly 8 Progress and Motivation boots. But what’s interesting really is when he tried the Phantom Flyknit Ultra (black with pink edition), the teaser boot for what would eventually be the Phantom GX.
