Add Marcus Rashford now to the list of players to have a signature boot release! This is now a reality as Nike drop the ‘Better Believe It’ collection, which includes the first-ever Rashford signature in the form of the Mercurial Superfly 9. It’s perfect timing that his maiden signature launch is with the speed silo, given his role and style of play to use his pace in wreaking havoc down the left side.
The winger, in fact, already received a special pair back in 2020. Under the ‘Marcus Rashford Boot Project,’ the English international accepted a black Superfly 7 adorned with visual bands of varying width and intensities of grey. These graphical blocks contained inspirational messages from 40 children who helped design the boot. Inspirational texts are once again leading the design for the debut Rashford signature.
This time, Rashford and Nike launch a predominantly white boot. In all caps with a black font, the boot reads ‘When you believe in yourself, incredible things can happen.’ The first phrase shows up on the lateral side and the other on the medial. The text sits on a singular narrow strip that starts from the midfoot and angles up across the quarter. It then wraps around the heel before angling down towards the other side. The strip begins as pink and fades to yellow as it approaches the rear of the boot.
The colour dynamic appears on the tag on the front end of the Dynamic Fit collar. On it the tag bears the bespoke letter mark for the player. The bold Swoosh on each side outline themselves in black and features the exact accent activity between pink and yellow. Lastly, the Air Zoom window on the outsole sparkles with gradient pink undertones.
