Gavi wears releases from the Phantom line, and so Gavi boots would essentially showcase the silo’s multiple generations. Nike markets the Phantom as the boot for midfielders, for players with impeccable skills on the ball and for those who dictate the flow of the game from the middle third. The young Spanish midfielder clearly fits the bill of what an ideal Nike Phantom player is.
Scary Good Phantom 6

Gavi was ready to roll with Nike’s opening Phantom for the 2025/26 season, wearing them as early as Barca’s first preseason match. Scary Good pack delivered the Phantom 6 in a combination of deep red-bordered orange Gripknit and a clear quarter that had a tinge of purple. Gavi of course wore the Elite low version.

Prism Phantom GX 2
Being back on the field meant Gavi was able to wear the latest packs from Nike. In April 2025, that happened when he switched to the low-cut Phantoms from the spring Prism Pack. It involved the Phantoms in a predominantly peach theme, which allowed the Swooshes on the upper to be noticeable in black. There was also a glowing illusion along the edges on the heel and counter through the faded hot pink accent.
Phantom GX 2 Mad Energy
With Mad Energy, Gavi had a pair of the Phantom GX 2 that suited up with a very light, minty green base. One can easily mistake the said base for white. It was a relatively clean application and was only disrupted by the orange Swoosh on the quarter and the small black one around the forefoot.
Phantom GX 2 Mad Voltage
Gavi’s Nike Mad Voltage boot was that Phantom GX 2 that had a greyish-white Gripknit upper and a bright and vivid yellow quarter. That same shade of yellow extended to the studs and outsole, with the Cyclone 360 plate in black for emphasis. Its the same colour dynamic that the Swoosh used to highlight itself along the quarter.
Phantom GX 2 Mad Ambition
The midfielder finally got to wear the GX 2 after an 11-month absence due to injury. He wore the blue Mad Ambition boots and joined a Barcelona team that had featured new prospects. With the GX 2, he had a phantom boot that had a streamlined feel on the Gripknit upper because of the one-piece construction, as opposed to the layered setup with the GX 1. Upon return, Gavi still chose to wear the low-cut model.
What’s Gavi Wearing?
Gavi’s official boot history includes both generations of the Nike Phantom GT. He wore the green ‘Impulse‘ GT 1 dedicated for the Euro 2020, and went through various colourways for the GT 2 such as the Progress, Motivation, Recharge and Lucent.
At such a young age, Gavi has become a major part of the rotation for both club and country. He normally plays on the right side of the midfield and is known for his intelligence on the pitch. Perhaps due to being a homegrown Barcelona talent, Gavi has that composure to be press-resistant, the pre-knowledge of what to do next upon receiving the ball and that nice quick turn to immediately initiate a counter attack. The new Xavi-Iniesta duo has been raised due to Gavi playing alongside the equally talented Pedri for both FC Barcelona and Spain football team. In 2022, he was awarded with the Golden Boy award, beating the likes of Jude Bellingham and Jamal Musiala.
