adidas Launch Mundial Federations Pack

Five of the best footballing nations come together to provide inspiration for the Stripes brand’s new Copa Mundial collection. With the Euro and Copa America coming up this year, it’s a good preview of the new international football moments that will soon be part of the history books. Only an iconic silo such as the Copa Mundial can rise to occasion and give national football its rightful place in the game.

The Copa Mundial Federations Pack is just like the 2023 X Crazyfast Federations Pack, where the said speed boots carry out nation-specific designs to represent those participating in the Women’s World Cup. Federations Mundial now puts on the spotlight on those that will play in Germany and in the United Sates.

The theme of the Copa Mundial revolves around two things. One, the leather upper from heel to toe carries a singular colourway. Two, the adidas striping carries on the actual national colours to signify the country they represent. At times, the dynamic between the main upper colourway and the stripes accent complement each other. For some boots though, the former serves as a contrasting background to the latter’s exposition of its country inspiration.

The complementary dynamic is best seen with the Argentina and Mexico Copa Mundials. The first one has that bespoke light sky blue for the colour predominance, followed by white stripes detailing. The other goes for white and has the supporting red and green stripes to complete the design (the middle stripe is also white). Furthermore, Mexico Copa Mundial’s green and red details are noticeable deep in tone to match the flag. This is especially important since Italy, whose flag also goes in green, white and red but with relatively brighter shade, is also part of the Mundial Federations Pack.

Speaking of Italy, its Copa Mundial Country boot takes heart the team’s Azzurri identity and dresses the boot in blue. With its royal blue take, the upper helps in pushing the green, white and red stripes to stand out. With regard to the Germany and Spain leather boots, they go in white and black, respectively. This is the part of the collection where the upper provides a contrasting canvass to their striping patterned after their flag colours. That means you get a black, red and yellow stripes for the Germany boot and red-yellow-red combination for the Spain Copa.
