Marcus Rashford is a pacey forward who graduated from Manchester United’s academy and is now a winger in Barcelona. A Nike player since his start in football, he currently wears the Mercurial Superfly which has a slim profile, tight-fitting Gripknit/AtomKnit upper, and a cushioned Zoom Air soleplate, all perfect for a speedy player.
Attack Superfly 10
It was good timing that Rashford wore the Superfly 10 from the Nike Attack Pack at a time of uptick in career form in Barcelona. That Racer Blue colourway that covered the boot from toe to heel complemented the highly direct style of play of the winger, not to mention that the Mercurial boot itself matched the wearer’s profile as one of most explosive and fastest players in the game.

Rashford 2023 Signature Edition Boots
Nike have teased a release of Rashford’s own signature Mercurials, the first publicly available MR boots, they are due to be revealed & or go on sale on 31.10.23
Having graduated from the academy where he was only allowed to wear blacked out boots, the choice of white with accents was significant for Rashford’s first signature. It symbolised his rise as a footballer to become part of his club’s starting XI and his break into the Three Lions. As mentioned in his boot, ‘When you believe in yourself, incredible things happen!’
XXV Pack Superfly 9
Recognised as one of the established Superfly players, Rashford joined a handful of stars in wearing the Superfly 9 from the retail version of the XXV Pack. It had a silver upper with reflective Mercurial and Nike brandings, plus a black knitted material for the tongue and collar. The general XXV Superfly differed from the Vapor in terms of the Zoom Airbag window as well as upper logos’ accent, which was pink in the high-cut Mercurial.
Previous Rashford Boots
Here are some of the Superfly boots Rashford has worn in recent memory:
Blast Pack
Superfly players like Rashford generally wore the predominantly white Superfly 9 from the Nike Blast Pack released in January 2023. It featured ‘baltic’ sky blue outlines for the AIR and the Swoosh, both of which were filled with repeating micropattern of the Mercurial logo in dark indigo with pink highlights. The colourway was a frosty-looking one given the chill vibes it had with the long-sleeved shirts abounding at that time of the year.
Generation Superfly World Cup 2022
The Qatar World Cup at the end of 2022 saw Rashford wear the predominantly copper ‘Generation’ Superfly 9, a boot that matched his speedy profile as a player. The winger’s play shone as bright as the metallic shade of this Air Zoom Mercurials, delivering the goals and assists expected of him as a pacey, explosive and talented forward player.
Lucent Pack
As a Nike contracted player at this point, Rashford was one of those to wear the bright yellow Mercurials, part of the first full on-pitch release for the 22/23 season.
In October 2020 Nike created a special pair of blackout Supefly 7 for Rashford to highlight his humanitarian efforts including the BLM movement and his work around free school meals for children. In fact for his debut Rashford wore blacked out football boots, a custom pair of Mercurial Vapor X, courtesy of Ace Blackouts, worn by Rashford during his memorable first-team debut in 2016 against Midtjylland where he scored a brace.
During his club’s FA Cup Final win against Crystal Palace, he wore the Nike Superfly 4 Heritage ID inspired by the silver, blue, and yellow colourway of the Brazilian Ronaldo’s 1998 Mercurials. In 2017, Rashford participated in United’s win against Ajax wearing the low-cut Hypervenom Phantom 3 from the Motion Blur pack. Rashford moved on to the Phantom VNMs before settling with the Superfly 7, wearing the likes of New Lights, Neighbourhood, and Daybreak along the way.
Always a Nike wearer Rashford has switched between the Superly, Vapor and Hypervenom, a key player in their Hypervenom 3 boots and Strike Night campaigns. Rashford’s pace and bursting acceleration are central to his game, especially devastating on the counter-attack. Defenders are put on the edge of the toes as soon as he starts running and dribbling directly to them. The player usually plays on the left side of a front three.
