Nike By You Phantom 6 lets you create many colour combinations for your own special edition boots. You can pair base colours with more standout Swoosh and accent colours. You can tie in those with your choice of soleplate between firm ground or artificial grass (at the time of writing, soft ground anti-clog is not yet available for the NikeID Phantom). At the moment, only the low-cut Phantom 6 has this customisation service.
Design Your Phantom
Personalise your own Phantom 6 Elite with Nike’s Phantom By You service. Take advantage of the spectrum of colours and design elements available to produce a Phantom pair bearing your imprint from heel to toe.The Flyknit base colour applies tonally to the tongue and quarter. Besides selecting a colour, you can also customise a text that will appear on the medial side. You choose separate colours for the main Swoosh and the small ones, but only the former has a selection of wearable gold or silver finish. Laces are also an option you can modify the colour. As far as the soleplate goes, you can choose among tonal, chrome or iridescent choices for both FG and AG.
Nike Phantom 6 Elite By You
Let us you through on the current customisation available for the Phantom 6 Elite low.
1. Gripknit
This covers the forefoot upper and the seam. Selection only covers a few base colour options and no graphic choice.
2. Flyknit Base
Choose a base colour for the quarter. This does not include the big Swoosh on the lateral side, or any brandings for that matter.
3. Plate
At the moment, there is no soft ground option for the Nike By You Phantom. But at least you can modify the soleplate to have a luminous or metallic finish instead of just plain tone.
4. Text
Text is max of 2 alphanumeric characters (letters in uppercase) for each boot. It is confined to the medial side of the quarter. Colour option is available.
5. Swoosh Lateral
You get the chance to flash your Nike pride in your own way by selecting its colour. Metallic colours also available.
6. Small Swoosh/Accents
There is one on the lateral side along the midfoot and one on the medial side, pushed towards the quarter. Selecting the colour also affects the small PHANTOM and NIKE GRIPKNIT brandings.
7. Laces
Make them pop out by contrasting them against the Flyknit base. Or you can blend them in by selecting the same tone.
Can you Get Phantom 6 Academy NikeID?
Yes! There is a Phantom 6 Academy option in NikeID. They are just using cheaper materials than the Elite version. They do, however, still have an off-centre lacing system, but the upper itself is not of the same quality. The Academy though have some customisations that are not available in the Elite.
The seam can have a different colour from the quarter and the base. Speaking of the accent, choosing its colour will also apply to the ridge texturing towards the arch of the instep. The capability to add text on the medial side of the quarter is still there, but the detail of the board backing the transparent outsole is only tonal.
