NikeID Mercurial 20 Years

Blake Grice

Stunning boots for each of the last five World Cups of Mercurial design, the original Mercurial R9, Vapor 1, Vapor 3 and Superfly IV with matching designs from each of the tournaments as worn by the original Brazilian Ronaldo or Cristiano Ronaldo, each a celebration of twenty years of speed.

Kylian Mbappe originally revealed the Superfly on instagram with a story that was reposted by the R9 himself, the Brazilian Ronaldo. Ousmane Dembele was also seen in training for Barcelona in the Vapor version, breaking them in ready for an on pitch debut and Marco Asensio was seen in the 2010 pair in training for Real Madrid.

These have been released as NikeID options, but in truth the only customisation is personalisation away from these solid designs, that all match together for the 1998, 2002, 2006, 2010 and 2014 World Cup Mercurials.

Each Mercurial comes in a Superfly and Vapor variant and are complimented by an Air Max 270 that matches the iconic design with coloured upper and bubble to match the World Cup boots.
