All eyes are on the big brands, but hardcore football boot fans know an open secret called Mizuno and its top-notch quality leather boots. They are surely going to be happy that the Japanese maker is dropping its own World Cup Pack called ‘Azure Blue.’ The boot collection is going to be released this mid-December (sometime the semifinals or final itself) and includes the latest Alpha, the pure leather Morelia 2, and the speedy Neo 3 in both its regular and beta forms.
It’s called Azure Blue, but the colourway is actually more of an aqua with copper as its accent. The inspiration is essentially the blue sky and oasis in the deserts of Qatar
The Runbird logo is printed on the Alpha with a white outline and copper streaking lines, while that of the Morelia 2 is plain white and stitched to the sides for structural reinforcement.
The streaking Runbird on the Neos is also an actual piece, and the colouring is more of copper on white. All of the Mizuno speed boots fully utilise the accent colour on the outsoles, while the pure leather Morelia leaves its traditional soleplate with a translucent finish.
