Gioca Performance Football Socks

Dean Ariola

Gioca is an Australian football brand created by current and former players and coaches for an unparalleled pool of knowledge about addressing the needs of all types of players. Gioca produces a wide range of apparel which includes bags, tops, gloves, and even neck warmers. The brand has also joined the grip socks industry and is now a producer of the performance socks.

Similar to Tapedesign, Gioca also applies dot-shaped grip elements underfoot to provide stability for players when wearing their boots and to enhance overall responsiveness. They have a ribbed construction with mesh ventilation panels around the sides for increased breathability. Gioca grips come in Medium and Large sizes and a variety of colours.

Although mainly a football brand, Gioca grips are also applicable to be used for different sports, providing any athlete stability from the base up.

How did Gioca socks perform during matchday?

Having worn a pair in matches, we could say that Gioca being produced by actual footballers is evident in its game day performance. It does pass that basic prerequisite of having those grip elements stick to the insole of the boot. But what really helps make it effective is the close, snug wrap and having just enough material to cover every of your foot. As long as you pick the right size, you wouldn’t have to worry about any excess material offsetting the responsiveness of the grip elements. Another positive effect of that one-to-one fit is that the midcut finish of Gioca socks stay in place. No distractions whatsoever in needing to constantly pull up your socks.
