As heir-apparent to the Nike legacy of CR7, it was quite odd that Mbappe didn’t get a signature pair for the ongoing World Cup. Well, not anymore! It turns out Nike is going to treat us with a special Mbappe World Cup release after all, modifying the current Generation Superfly to set it apart from the pack. It is similar to how Neymar’s Dream Chaser built on the Fearless pack.
It may not be the most distinct way of doing a signature, but hey, all bets are off with its future value if Mbappe and France successfully defends their World Cup title. See Mbappe wear his France boots today as they take on Poland in the Round of 16…
Mbappe Generation vs Generation Superfly
Much of the changes happen underfoot, with the Mbappe Generation replacing the matte finish of the rear plate with a lustrous hue of French flag colours. Furthermore, the gloss of the front plate now covers the window of the Zoom Airbag.
The logo on the tip of the tongue has the ‘KM’ monogram, and the insoles have the French colours. One of them displays the ‘Mbappe’ wordmark.
Speaking of the ‘Mbappe’ branding, it also appears on the outstep of the boot to displace the original Air Zoom lettering of the Generation Superfly.
