Hypervenom Phantom VSN 2

Blake Grice

Incredible Nike remakes as the grandfather of the Phantom line, make a return with the original launch Hypervenom Phatom in black & bright citrus honoured with a new colorway for the Phantom VSN2 that will available only in limited numbers, as Nike continue their remake and remodel success bringing old designs to modern boots.

The Nikeskin heavy Hypervenom Phantom was introduced in 2013 and the upper was made up of micro mesh honey comb patterned layer with a thin polyurethane film on top, giving the upper at that time a different but equally comfortable flexible feel and a sock-like fit that was not restrictive but moved freely to the bend of the foot. The heel up to the quarter and lacing was black and formed a black lip across the citrus orange toe, lateral, and medial sides.

A stand-out feature of the original Hypervenom was the heel, with the orange Nike swoosh on one side and skull & cross bones symbol on the other. These features are back on the 2020 VSN 2 retro remake, which has a one to one look, with all elements you expect from the first. The bold bright citrus look is across most of the front of the boot, so the black swoosh laid over the top really stands out, giving these the same vibes as seven years ago.

The new boots have the retro look and feel they are packed with the latest modern technology; the multitextured breathable Flyknit upper, the inner bootie of the Quad fit meshed inner layer, giving you a superb foot fit & hugging, the low dynamic fit collar provides some ankle support and the ghost lacing system, keeps you locked down with a concealed look.
