adidas Predator Precision

adidas Predator Precision was the generation of the silo by the turn of the millennium. More importantly, it introduced its own spin of the Predator to make its mark in the silo’s history. And of course, there was also the context of it being released for the Euro 2000 and being the boots worn by David Beckham in his memorable free-kick goal against Greece.

Modern Remakes

David Beckham Predator Precision Remade

The adidas David Beckham Predator Precision Remade celebrates 25 years since the player’s free kick against Greece secured England’s place at the 2002 World Cup. Its stitched white upper, sweeping silver Three Stripes and ridged striking panels bring back the familiar Precision physical design, finished with a bold red fold-over tongue carrying Beckham’s name. The white, silver and red combination immediately recalls the boots he wore on 6 October 2001, giving the remake a connection to one of the most memorable goals in England’s history. To differentiate this remake with the one launched way back in 2019 (see '25 Years of Predator Pack' below), adidas has added references to that iconic Beckham moment. These include having the underside of the tongue read '90+3' and Gary Bloom's commentary 'Beckham could raise the roof here', on the right and left boot respectively. The boots also have the number 7 on the heel to commemorate his kit number at that time. This remake is also differentiated by the fac that it uses a strap with Beckham's name on it, as opposed to using velcro, to pull the tongue down. It also has the Predator 2026 soleplate as its modern tooling.

Origins

With the Precision Origins, the adidas Made in Germany series gave football fans one of those opportunities to experience the Precision at its full glory. And this was not just in terms of the tech, this was also about the suiting up the Precision in the classic black, white and red. The leather and the Predator elements in claw-like formation basked in black, with the Stripes elegantly flowing in white. The tongue glowed prominently in red.

Silver Strike

The Made in Germany series took another shot at remaking the Precision in its whiteout version just a month after the Zidane Precision. This time, it partnered the pristine base with silver grey details that comprised of the Stripes, grip elements, logos and branding. Topping off the silverish accents was the chrome structures on the lateral and instep of the soleplate.

Zidane Precision

This limited-edition boot, part of adidas' "Made in Germany" series, was released in June 2025. It featured the upper in gold, the Stripes in black and the Predator claw-like elements in red. The red fold-over tongue had a gold performance logo, a "Made in Germany" inscriptions and the players iconic silhouette on the underside. Like modern remakes, only the upper had the one-to-one remake as the boot utilised the tooling of the then-current Predator 25.

Precision Archive

The Precision Archive pack came on to start 2023. It was mainly white with black and pink, and came with two models. The + model had a soft cow leather for the upper, while the .1 boot of the pack carried the brand's Hybridtouch material. You can distinguish the two from each other by looking at the colour of the Predator elements (the former's black while the latter's grey).

25 Years of Predator Pack

In 2019, David Beckham teamed up with Zinedine Zidane to lead the 25th anniversary of the silo. They did so by headlining the launch of the 25 Years of Predator Pack, comprised of a pair of gold Accelerators and a pair of white Precisions. Beckham frontlined for the second boot, which had silverish Stripes and a red tongue with white logo.

Blue Precision

One of the earliest remake of the boot was the 2017 Predator Precision. Like any other modern remake, it only had a one-to-one recreation of the upper, while the outsole was modernised. This had a feel of the Mania's popular Japan Blue colourway because of the addition of white and red accents to the main theme.

OG 2000 Predator Precision

Precision was part of the natural leather era of the Predator line, but it continued the trend initiated by the Accelerator of making the silo look aesthetically futuristic. Precision did so by adding trailing pinstripe tails to the adidas Stripes.

The elements sat within the upper across the toe box in a formation that looked like a Predator claw. They were ribbed in design rather than the blocks that featured in its predecessors. Precision introduced a velcro strap to hold the fold-over tongue in place. Like other classic boots, Precision is a heavy boot in today's standards, needed significant break-in time, and sported massive blades for its stud configuration.
