Sam Kerr Boots: What Does She Wear?

Dean Ariola

Sam Kerr’s speed is most dangerous when a defender thinks they have her covered. She darts across the back line, bursts into space and reaches the ball in time to finish. That movement makes the Kerr boots’ association with the Nike Mercurial Superfly feel fitting. Kerr became one of the faces of the Mercurial Dream Speed series before receiving her first Player Edition boot in 2025, followed by a Superfly 11 bearing her name. Her boots now tell two stories at once: how she plays, and how she became a player Nike wanted to build a Mercurial around.

Sam Kerr’s second signature Nike Mercurial Superfly 11 starts with a mint-green base that shifts through blue, purple and fuchsia as the light catches it. A dark Swoosh outlined in pink cuts across the upper, with Kerr’s SK mark on the heel. Nike says the colours draw on her favourite boots from the past, while the shifting finish represents who she becomes on matchday. Inside, the insoles carry her signature and the message “Become the player the world can’t stop.”

It’s not only now that Kerr is receiving special boots. As a reflection of her status, she was one of the three players in an exclusive group receiving a particular Mercurial series. The other two players were none other than CR7 and Mbappe.

Sam Kerr’s preferred Superfly 11 comes into tiers that accommodate different price points. The Elite is simply the most premium execution, while the Academy is the functional entry level. The Pro conceptually sits in the middle, but it’s likeness to the Elite level (apart from some minor changes like the 3/4-length strobel and tongue construction) gives it a significant value-for-money proposition.

Previous Kerr Boots

Pale Ivory/Black

Sam Kerr’s first signature boot arrived in 2025 on the Nike Mercurial Superfly 10. Its sandy base and flashes of teal, pink and orange draw on the beaches, ocean and sunsets of her native Perth. The design also carries her “Consistent” mantra, references to key moments in her career and a stripe inspired by Australian sprinting icon Cathy Freeman. It was a milestone for Kerr that after years wearing Mercurials, she had one that told her own story.

Mercurial Dream Speed Series

Sam Kerr has been part of Nike’s Mercurial Dream Speed story from the start, alongside Cristiano Ronaldo and Kylian Mbappe. It is a fitting stage for a striker whose speed begins with the run. She slips away from a defender, changes direction and arrives in time to finish. Dream Speed gave that movement a place in Nike’s biggest Mercurial series, years before Kerr received a signature boot of her own.
