Academy players, watch out! Puma has provided the first blackout look of the Future Ultimate alongside another black edition of the Ultra Ultimate. As always, they are not a player-wide release and therefore would not be featuring among the professional players (unless they opt to do so). They are geared towards those youth prospects in different football schools, but more importantly to those who just couldn’t resist a nice black pair of football boots…
As for the Future Ultimate Eclipse, the boot applies some tonal differences between the base material and the surface elements to distinguish the Fuzionfit360 upper from the PWRTAPE and the engineered 3D textures. The small brandings here and there become visible in contrasting white, with the outline of the ribbed Puma Cat defining the said logo with the same accent colour. A matte finish on the reengineered Dynamic Motion System completes the package.
From top to bottom, the Ultra Ultimate follows the same theme set by its sister silo in this Eclipse pack. Some of the bits of the bespoke linear knit pattern feature in white, producing a splinter-like formation. Joining them in providing more of the same secondary colour detail is the smaller offset variant of the Formstrip.
The King Ultimate’s first venture in the Eclipse pack results in a black K-BETTER upper decorated with silver Formstrip and its bespoke pattern for the modern King boot. Accents of orange abound on the back end of the boot, mainly from the heel liner and that curvy sliver on the heel counter.
