On deadline day 2013 Özil signed a record £42.5 million five year deal with English club Arsenal. This transfer made Özil the most expensive Arsenal and German player of all time.
Özil has worn several boots in his career, including his current boot the adidas Predator Instinct. Ozil is considered to be adidas' biggest Predator wearer. Özil went through a contract dilemma while at Real Madrid where he wore Nike and adidas boots including the Mercurial Vapor and Predator ranges.
