Nike's final colour collection to be released within 2016 saw their aptly named Dark Lightning Pack steal the headlines in mid November which acted as the follow-up release to the previous Floodlight collection unveiled several weeks prior. The Dark Lightning boots were represented on the footballing stage by Alexis Sanchez, Kevin de Bruyne, and Arturo Vidal in their domestic campaigns and Champions League endeavours.
Whilst the aforementioned Floodlight Pack opted to capture the eye through breathtaking colour-ways, the more traditional Dark Lightning look remained more understated through each boots predominantly Black base-coat with Electric Green, Paramount Blue, and Hyper Orange accents adding pops of modern feels.
Whilst the Dark Lightning Pack posed as one of the first colour-updates on the upgraded Mercurial and Magista ranges, it also proved the final paint-job for the deadly agility Hypervenom silo which was set for a third generation modification at the start of 2017. As a winter release, the SG-Pro versions of the Obra, Legend & Phantom included Anti Clog mud technology on the soleplates.
