2021 Mercurial Dragonfly
The Nike Superfly 8 & Vapor 14 aren't quite a complete redesign of the Mercurial speed silo, but an evolution of the Superfly 7 and Vapor 13, featuring a unique upper construction and a new soleplate layout that aim to offer the same if not better lockdown and responsiveness relative to the previous generations.
Nike Boots in Mercurial 2021 Pack:
The Flyknit material and its soft yarns comprise the collar, the integrated tongue, and heel (or, in the case of the collarless Vapor, just the tongue and heel areas). The upper though is now composed of an adaptive foam liner that forms around the shape of your foot. The liner has perforations on the medial and lateral sides and the toe box for ventilation and weight-reduction purposes. Around the forefoot is an integrated compression band that aims to enhance lockdown (with this mainly coming from the central lacing system).
On top of the liner and acting as the upper's outer layer is the exposed high-tenacity yarns that provide the boot with its structural integrity. The interlacing of the yarns on the forefoot is compressed and more so around the compression band. It becomes more spread out on the sides of the boot.
The inner sole of the Superfly 8 has an anatomical shape like that of the previous Mercurials. But its soleplate now has a narrow spine on the middle that connects the cored-out rear plate and the front plate. Furthermore, the central bar and the front plate house a re-engineered Aerotrak structure that delivers both stability and snappiness. The new Aerotrak runs parallel to the stud plate and has a tail end on both the front and back. All the studs are chevron blades, ensuring that the latest Mercurial still serves that aggressive traction the silo has been known.

The launch colourway of the new Mercurial sees the boot with a white Flyknit and external sock liner. The perforated internal liners on the sides and toe box plus the compression band are pink, yellow, and blue. To display the interplay of the parts that make up the upper, Nike has numbered them and placed numerals on top of each section.
