Inspired by iconic street shoes, Nike have updated their FootballX collection with emphatic fashion revealing new colourways for each the MercurialX, MagistaX, HypervenomX & TiempoX.
Seeming impossible to follow-up from the classy Pitch Dark FootballX incarnations, Nike have done it again launching Air Max inspired football shoes which mirror the recently launched Elite Pack for Mercurial, Magista, Hypervenom and Tiempo families. Exclusively available August 28 and 30 on the Nike Football App and website, the collection offers futsal and indoor footballers a lighter tone of colour backing up the last two packs in brilliant style.
MercurialX – The show pony of the collection, this design is inspired by the Air Max 90 featuring the enlarged pink and black sole while the upper seems to follow accents from the Elite Pack Superfly V. A classy reminder of what Nike can do with their indoor silos, this to me is the best of the lot.
MagistaX – The MagistaX design is inspired by the Air Max 180 street shoe, which provides customers with a very clean and elegant look, a shoe which can be worn on and off the pitch, clean, white perfection. Touches of pink and blue accent the whiteout design supremely well and overall I think this is the best MagistaX II so far in 2016.
HypervenomX – The most aggressive design of the lot, the HypervenomX pays homage to the Air Max 95 street shoe which is predominantly grey with accent tones of volt yellow and black. Similar to it’s Hypervenom Phantom II counterpart, this design brings back memories of the original Silver Storm Proximo 1 launched over a year ago.
TiempoX – The TiempoX has returned in stunning fashion featuring a design inspired by the Air Max 1. Mostly white in colour touches of blue run over the toes, branding and heel mimicking what we see on the street shoe. The only FootballX range without a collar, this to me is by far the most comfortable in Nike’s premium collection.
Football silhouettes inspired by street shoes is sure to go down well with footballers alike. I’d get in quick if you wanted to grab a pair before anyone else does on August 28.
