First off, let’s just say that black and gold really mesh well, and that any colourway release would benefit from its combination of focus and sophistication. But more than its timeless elegance, this particular paintjob is selected by New Balance for its all-new ‘1st Edition Gold Pack’ to introduce the next chapter for the Furon and Tekela. Draped with a look that shouts grandeur and success, the next-gen Furon V7 and Tekela V4 progresses the growing influence of the said New Balance silos in the football boot industry.
The launch colourway of the Furon v7 sees the boot covered with a golden sprinkles over its black base. The colour theme adorns the outsole with a half-and-half design and a metallic gloss. Tech-wise, the most noticeable update are the grippy layer on top of the Hypoknit upper and the off-centred lacing system.
The laceless Tekela is still as such in its 4th generation, and its debut look follows the same template as that of the new-gen Furon. Moreover, it follows a similar upper composition of a hypoknit base and a grippy and noticeable overlay material, albeit more textured and finishes off with a high-cut collar. The forefoot studs are now more conical in nature.
