Mizuno Drops the ‘Dark Iridium’ Pack!

As we head into the long nights of winter, Mizuno gives us a collection of black football boots that definitely sets up the mood for those cold and tough matches. With a lot going on this 2022 frosty season, not to mention the highlight being the Qatar World Cup, it’s nice to have those options of warm-looking yet high-performing football boots. Mizuno is no stranger to producing black packs, recently giving us the likes of the ‘Venom’ and ‘Cyber’ Packs. This particular release, dubbed as the ‘Dark Iridium,’ is sure to set its own mark in the Japanese brand’s history of black leather boots…

As can be gleaned from the title of the pack, the iridescence of one of the rarest metal on Earth provide the accent of the blacked-out Morelia Beta speed boot. Like in previous collections, the accent mostly forms on the streaking Runbird logo, with the inner honeycomb board and forefoot midfoot stud showing a shade of matte silver. As always, black makes the boot wearable no matter what your kit colours are.

If you’re more into the feel of classic football boots, meaning as much leather as possible, ‘Dark Iridium’ also offers another black rendition of a pair of the Morelia II, complete with its pure K-leather upper build and wide conical studs. It, however, lose the iridescent accent on its stitched-in Runbird logo. But it does have that silvery detail around the heel to somehow brighten up what would otherwise be a purist football boot.
