Started by the Messmer family in the town of Hamburg, Germany, the sportswear company makes products with an instatnly recognisable chevron design on them. The brand logo is a stylized bumble bee, as Hummel means 'Bumble Bee' in German.

Over the years Hummel have made football kits for club's like Real Madrid, Tottenham and Aston Villa, as well as the Danish national side, the Danes wore Hummel shirts when they were surprise winners of Euro 1992. Today their popular boots are the Old School design, a plain black boot with the white chevron.
