The World Cup champion has been tearing it up in MLS since he joined Inter Miami. Still, his success in Qatar continues to inspire his recent signatures as shown by his Infinito boots. Add this one here to that list! adidas drops a surprise Messi ‘Las Estrellas’ boots that once again highlights his national identity, his latest achievement and his overall reputation as the most successful football player ever.
At the onset, we do see that the Las Estrellas X Crazyfast.1 has a white base, but the liner seeps in a minimal bluish hue. Pinstriped light blue brand striping is a clear reference to La Albiceleste, while the counter curved adidas striping is a throwback to the Tunit boots he wore in 2006.
Las Estrellas sits on top of a Speedframe that has a gold to white transition from heel to forefoot. That particular metallic shine of the golden part conjures memories of the World Cup-winning Leyenda boots and the trophy itself. But the name of the boot arguably is sourced from the design of the heel, which has a black vertical strip showing three gold stars. Those on the left are sandwiched by the GOAT and Messi symbols, while those on the right boot are bordered by Messi’s iconic number ’10’ and the adidas performance logo.
