With the unveiling of Michael Dawson as a brand ambassador and his appearance on the pitch of their new boots, Under Armour have revealed the new Hydrastrike 2 football boots. The second generation of the Hydra Strike weigh in at 223g which is over 35% lighter than their 2011 incarnation.
Under Armour’s latest boots use their 4D Foam that forms to your foot, providing optimal comfort, reducing stud pressure and increasing internal traction. A UA proprietary light & low cushioning innovation called MicroG provides additional support and responsiveness on the bottom layer of the footbed.
The leather of the boot is treated with Under Armour’s Water Intelligence technolog; that means the leather can stay drier longer in wet conditions, reducing the boot weight & increasing your touch and feel of the ball.
The Corespeed sole gives your feet flex in a lightweight stable chassis, it is built from a lightweight Pebax for optimal use on all surfaces and should enhance the foots natural ability to accelerate and dart in any direction. The stroebel construction allows for closer to the foot fit and lower to the ground feel.
You get a cleaner strike area thanks to the asymmetrical lace system with hidden medial side ghilleys and the softlin tongue liner and tongue top mean a better touch and more comfort.
