What Is Özil Up To? Now In Next-generation Predator LZ?

Less than a couple of weeks ago, Mesut Özil has been officially presented as an adidas man by the German brand of the Three Stripes, enhance its portfolio of great players worldwide (here).

However, his choice of a prototype pair of blacked-out football boots for a training session with the Spanish giants Real Madrid has caused us to stare and has left us wondering.

We have not seen this mysterious incarnation before, but we can safely say that it bears no resemblance at all to the next generation of the F50 adiZero coming up.

The German international, therefore, might be testing the next Predator boot, as suggested by the front of the boot holding visible rubber ‘deadly zones’ that may have been re-designed to continue to enhance performance on the pitch.

Meanwhile, despite the studs looking identical to the signature Traxion by adidas, we cannot rule out speculation that the attacking midfielder is trying out an unreleased boot by rival German brand Puma, especially given that there is no miCoach cavity on the left sole replaced by the traditional Big Cat branding.
