Ultra-light football boots seem to be the future, and the German brand adidas shows its efforts in this regard by breaking the 100 g mark with its new concept F50 incarnation, tipping the scales at merely 99 g.

Approximately weighing as much as a ballet slipper, this boot owes its innovation to the new upper material constructed by the Three Stripes, made from a single layer of woven polyester mesh and polyurethane.

It seems to be able to withstand the requisite abrasion and form around the foot too, whilst allowing an incredible reduction of 66 g in weight from the current adiZero iteration.

As much as 60 different textiles have been gone through for the performance and look for this boot, and it all boils down to research and development to know what the future will bring in this respect.

The Nike Tiempo Legend IV boot was tested and reviewed by boot tester, Opingi from Denmark. The Tiempo Legend IV harnesses comfort and touch as it boasts a kangaroo leather upper providing a world class wrap around effect on your foot creating one of the most comfortable boots on the market today.

Check out the boot tester and review above and here are Opingi’s thoughts:

Right out of the box: When I first got them I thought the boots looked great with the classic black leather and the bright green Nike swoosh and soleplate. The first time I wore them to a training session I very quickly felt them being too tight around the sides of my feet and it really hurt when running. But after realising I had to loosen the laces a bit because I have very wide feet they felt just fine.

Comfort and breaking in: After having used the boots for a couple of training session they stretched a bit in the sides which I was really happy with. So the boots did not need more than a few session to be broken in and feeling great. Regarding the comfort you would expect something really nice and soft given that the boots are mainly made from kangaroo leather and this seems to always offer great protection and comfort. One of my favourite things about the boot is the heel- part that is very nice and soft and still provides great stability so your foot stays in place.

Passing and shooting: For passing and shooting I have only experienced positive things. One of the upsides for me with this boot is the fact that there are no plastic things on the boots to help or mess your shot or pass up. Even though that is not a problem with most boots, I have just enjoyed having a clean surface to strike the ball. The front of the foot is pretty easy to get under the ball because the front is not too much pointing upwards.

Touch and dribbling: As said earlier in the review I have felt that the boots offers great protection with the reasonable thick piece of k-leather. The soft leather offer a nice soft touch and even though the upper isn’t as thin as most speed boots it still gives a nice feel for the ball when dribbling.

Studs: Regarding the studs I have so far had very few issues. This is my first time having a boot with round studs instead of bladed ones. Given that the studs are quite long I have had one issue being pain in my legs after using them for too long on AG. But when complaining about this small thing you have to consider that the studs are made for FG and not AG so that might be with the problem occurs. Other than that the boots feel great when turning and running and I have had no issues regarding general use.

Overall: Overall the boot is just plain great. This is my first time playing in a k-leather boot but it is definitely not my last time. This boot is extremely comfortable even for me with a very wide foot that often have problems with other boots being quite a bit too narrow. The design and colour is also classic and neat looking even though I don’t mind more bright colours in general on my boots. If I would have to score it I would give it a 9 out of 10.

Comfort: 9/10
Shooting: 8/10
Breaking in: 8/10
Looks: 9/10

Overall: 8,5/10 Great Boots!!

The Vapor VII Safari edition was initially released in the CR7 range for Cristiano Ronaldo and it went on to become one of the best ever CR7 boot in terms of boot sales.

Check out the boot tester and review above and here are JoHnSaplaCR7’s thoughts:

The Mercurial Vapor VII Safari are built for high speed play. They are very light and they are designed for quick moves and speed game demands. The blades provide instant acceleration and quick cuts in any direction. The boots fit perfect on the foot and provide great comfort. The sole is made of fibre glass composite. Even though the boots are light, they give you a great power for free kicks, because of the thin material. The thin synthetic leather gives you a good ball control and its also very soft. These boots are perfect for Wingers. They have been used by Cristiano Ronaldo (best winger in the world) and have shown great results on his feet.

General Review:
Comfort: 8/10
Weight: 9/10
Touch and Control: 9/10
Shooting: 9/10
Protection: 7/10
Passing Precision: 8/10
Knuckle: 9/10

Negatives:
1) A bit Hard to break in.
2) They are not so durable.
Positives:
1)Light.
2)Soft.
3)Pretty good on terms of comfort.

I Wear:

The Japanese brand Mizuno has plans to roll-out its upcoming 3rd incarnation of the Wave Ignitus, a hugely anticipated release that has been already presented in an exclusive fashion to Maya Yoshida.

In fact, the Southampton defender signed last summer from Dutch side VVV-Venlo has been gifted a black-out prototype of this boot, perhaps to be worn in Japan’s upcoming international fixture against Bulgaria.

Note that, being an evidently all-black version, we can just speculate this real ‘power’ boot to be launched in exciting colourways for which Mizuno is renowned later on this summer.

However, brace yourselves for the stupendous Mukaiten panel to be revamped, newly layered and textured for strikes that leave the goalkeeper with no chance.

As with several other boot silos by adidas you could have the ability to personally customise the boot to your likings in terms of colour which is labelled ‘mi adidas’ and we had a go at designing our own nitrocharge 1.0 boot. The nitrocharge 1.0 is the latest boot silo by the German brand and it boasts several new innovations and technologies including the ENERGYSLING and ENERGYPULSE.

DESIGN YOUR OWN!

The first inventive colourway we’ve labelled as Black/Energy featuring a black and highlight yellow design offering a stunning look. The highlighted band across the fore foot is the ENERGYSLING which wraps around your foot creating an external brace offering enhanced agility at high speeds.

The Green/Yellow design offers the same colours seen on the Ray Green Predator LZ II which was released at the same time as the nitrocharge 1.0. Make it yours as you have the option to choose from a huge colour selection and create endless customisation options.

This ‘Predator’ like colourway features a Black/Red/Yellow imitating the colours usually seen on a Predator boot. As well as colours you can also select your own soleplates whether it be soft ground or firm ground.

He will be joined by Bayern Munich’s ball-playing defender Dante, who should be debuting a White / Red / Black version of the King by the brand of the Big Cat as shown below.

“My first season with Bayern Munich has been an unbelievable experience, and I am so excited to be part of the team that travels to London for the Champions League final. For me, this is a wonderful opportunity and playing in the final of such an important tournament is probably every footballer’s dream. I will wear my new Puma boots for the first time in this match, and I really hope they will bring me luck, having worn them in training I am sure they will enable me to perform at my best.”

Note that this incarnation is an absolutely perfect match with the Bavarian club’s kit, and should also be perfect for the likes of Michael Carrick at Manchester United.

Meanwhile, the soft premium leather upper provides for an optimum touch of the ball, with an innovative stitching technique to reinforce the vamp and reduce over-stretching.

Also consider the soleplate, with a mixture of conical and traction studs guaranteeing flexibility, to be combined with the lightweight and flexible Pebax chassis.

The Nike CTR360 Libretto III boot was tested and reviewed by boot tester, Edin Orman from USA. The Libretto III is the third grade boot of the CTR360 series below the Trequartista and Maestri boots. Aimed at enhanced control the Libretto III boasts a lightweight and durable synthetic upper which has the look and feel of leather without the cost.

Check out the boot tester and review above and here are Edin Orman’s thoughts:

Fit and Comfort: The Nike CTR360 is Nike’s lowest takedown model. The Enganche series features a synthetic leather upper for a lightweight feel. It however doesn’t not allow that barefoot feel that you might get from high end models. The boot provides alot of cushion around the heel and midsole but other than the comfort and durability it doesnt provide much else.

Traction and Lacing: The traction on these cleats are what you get for its price. The studs allow a decent amount of traction in muddy conditions. The boot provides a large strike zone on the laces with its asymmetrical lacing
system. I personally love the lacing because it allows you to hit a nice clean volley or strike.

Extras: The control pads in the instep dont affect your performance as much. They’re made of a cheap material that cant compare to the higher end Nike CTR360 III models.

Verdict: I’ve had these boots for my spring select soccer season and all of my high school season and honestly they’re not that bad of a boot to be honest. It may not offer what the Libretto, Trequartista or Maestri provide but for $40 its not that bad of a deal.I expected them to start ripping by the end of the season but i have only minor scuffs in
the pictures.I recommend them for a beginner but if you’ve been playing select for as long as I have I would start with something just a tad bit of higher quality like the Librettos or Trequartistas.

Comfort:8.5/10
Traction:8.0/10
Fit:8.0/10
Weight:8.5/10
